Truck yard and container yard security in the Lower Mainland

We guard truck yards, container yards and trailer storage lots across Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley. We provide gate guards, mobile patrols, or both, at any hour of the day or night. Shift and incident reporting follows the requirements agreed for each site.

What the gate guard does

The guard checks each driver against your list, writes down the truck, trailer and container numbers going in and out, and records seal numbers if your post orders ask for them. Anything that doesn't match gets a photo and a call to your contact, not a guess.

Patrols when the yard is locked

Where a yard is closed and inactive, a full-time gate guard may not be required. A patrol officer can attend at varied times, walk the fence, check the locks and look for trailers with open doors or broken seals. Visit times change from night to night.

What you get in the morning

A shift report with every vehicle in and out and the times of each round. If a fence was cut or a seal was broken, you also get an incident report with photos and the time we called you.

Questions we get asked

Something else? Call (672) 699-8229.

Do we need a gate guard, or is mobile patrol sufficient?

It depends on how the yard operates. Where trucks arrive and depart, a gate guard is needed to check them in and out. Where the yard is locked and inactive, scheduled patrol visits are usually sufficient. We assess the yard with you and recommend the appropriate level of coverage.

Can the guard check seals and record trailer numbers?

Yes. Seal checks and the recording of trailer and container numbers are included in the post orders, which are prepared with you before the first shift so that the guard records the information your dispatch office requires.

What happens if the fence is cut or the yard is breached?

The guard or patrol officer notifies the people on your contact list, and the police where your plan requires it. The damage is photographed and documented in an incident report.

Do you cover yards outside Vancouver?

Yes. We provide yard security across Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley, including Delta, Surrey, Richmond, Langley and Abbotsford.

What does yard security cost?

Pricing depends on the hours of coverage and on whether the yard requires an on-site guard or patrol visits. Contact us with the details of your yard and we will provide a written quote.
